Nero Portoro, also known as portoro marble and portoro gold, is a very unique Italian black marble with gold veins. It is famed for its use in villas of the elite, with linear veins of interlaced rose-gold and redwood against a background of midnight black, and cross veined with lightning-like white branches. Nero Portoro is quarried on an island off La Spezia.
